RVRR Establishes NJ Scholarship Program!!
Raritan Valley Road Runner’s (RVRR) primary objective is the promotion and encouragement of running. As a 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to promoting running for positive physical and mental health benefits, RVRR raises funds and accepts donations which are used to support running related activities and to raise the visibility of RVRR in the community. In this context, the RVRR board has created a scholarship program to help HS seniors and college student runners advance their education. It is also a way to reward, encourage, and recognize our local running youth who have achieved athletic success in the context of the sport of running. The scholarship rewards strong academics and those who have demonstrated both citizenship and good sportsmanship. We are not necessarily looking for the best or fastest runners; what we look for is evidence of the student's enthusiasm for running. Financial need is a consideration. The program is funded through individual donations (which can be made in memory of a loved one), funds from club sponsored races and business contributions. The 2020 Inaugural Tom O'Reilly Turkey Trot raised over $2200 for the program and future Tom O'Reilly Turkey Trots will continue raising funds for the Scholarship Program as well as give a portion of its proceeds to the Program. See Scholarship page for more details.

RVRR Celebrates Diversity and Promotes Inclusivity
RVRR would like to remind members that we are an inclusive club, and in keeping with our Code of Conduct we have a zero tolerance policy for racism and discrimination. We recognize that running is a freedom that not all can enjoy without fear. So we run Together as One for equity, justice, and positive change within the community; and for the safety of all our Black members and all Black Americans.
Code of Conduct-Embracing safety, respect and community!
RVRR strives to be a safe, welcoming, respectful place for you to enjoy the sport of running and the camaraderie of a great community. We believe it’s the best running club in New Jersey. As part of our efforts to strengthen the club’s position, the board has established a committee and has developed a new club code of conduct. The committee follows procedures for addressing any violations to the code in an appropriate and timely manner. An important first step is making sure that our members know there is a way to report violations through a standard, confidential web form. This new form, and additional details about it, can be found here. Feel free also to send any questions, concerns or suggestions about our procedures to rvrrcomplaints@gmail.com
Looking for a Central New Jersey Running club? Raritan Valley Road Runners might be for you! With runs from the Highland Park and Piscataway area, we attract runners from all over Central New Jersey like from New Brunswick, Edison, Somerset, and more! Though we are involved in many races and events, we are not only a group of racers. We strive to promote the sport of running and its healthy lifestyle. We also have fun at parties and other social events.
